Sweet Stampede Blog Hop- Easter

Hello all,
Thank you for joining our team, the Sweet Stampede Blog Hop.
If your coming from Alessandras page, thank you. She is so talented!

Our theme this month is Spring or Easter
I chose to do a Flip Top Spring Box.
This box is easy to make.
You'll need a 10" x 7" piece of Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock.
Score the long side at 4 1/4" and 5 3/4".
Score the short side at 1 1/2" and 5 1/2".
On the 10" x 7" piece the middle section is 1 1/2" wide, mark at 3/4" on both sides.
I put dotted lines where you will cut.
Next on the upper section, line one end in the cutting pad and
the other on the edge of the cutting pad. You'll need a trimmer for this. Do this to the oppisite side as well, as seen in the pictures. On the other end of the piece cut off the two side sections.
This is what your top piece will look like after all of the cuts have been made.
Burnish all of your score lines and adhere the triangles to the flaps. This will make your lid.
Next add a 7" piece of Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon to the bottom center,
use tear and tape to secure it.

Cut the 7" x 7" piece according to the picture above.
Add tear and Tape to each tab and adhere to form a box.
Add Tear and Tape to the bottom of the box and secure to the bottom piece of the lid
(where the ribbon is). Close the lid.

Add another 7" piece of ribbon to the top, securing with Tear and Tape.
Layer a 4" x 3 3/4" piece of Painted Seasons DSP to the top. You can earn this very pretty DSP with a $50 order in my On Line Stampin' Store for FREE and as a added bonus I'll send you 5 free handmade cards with envelopes.
I also added a 1 1/2" x 4" piece of Pool Party cardstock in the center.
I cut out a label using the Stitched Labels Framelits Dies in Whisper White.
I stamped The Cute little squirrel using Memento Black Ink and the Fable Friends Stamp Set.
I colored him in using Light and Dark Crumb Cake and  Pool Party Stampin' Blends. I used Light and Dark Mango Melody for the flower, Light Mossy Meadow and Old Olive for the stem.
To finish it off for my "Spring" theme I stamped the sentiment in Pool Party.
I also stamped some grass in Lemon Lime Twist ink.
I added the label to the top of the box using Stampin' Dimensionals.
I added some shreddie, then some spring chocolates to my box.
I tied my bow to close up the box.
These will make cute gifts for anyone!
Here is the side view of the flip top box.
