Hello everyone!
I'm so excited!! May is here and so is another Sweet Stampede Blog Hop! Plus the new annual catalog will go live in just 5 days!!
This month our theme is a design sketch plus using three of the new In Colors, Timid Tiger, Secret Sea and Darling Duckling. Everyone will use the design sketch and colors in their projects.
I love this sketch because I can use up my scraps!!
To make this card I started cutting strips of Darling Duckling, Secret Sea and Timid Tiger using scraps that I had. My strips were 1/4" & 1/2" wide and various lengths.
I layered my strips onto a 5 1/4" x 4" piece of Basic White cardstock alternating how I placed them. I went back and filled in the open areas then trimmed off the excess.
I created my tote using the Notes & Totes bundle. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this bundle! Put it on your wish list for when the catalog goes live in just 5 days.
I added the layered piece to my card base, die cut a Very Vanilla Stylish Shapes circle stamped my sentiment in Secret Sea ink and added a bow.
How fun! This card was so easy to make. Now you can use up your scraps.
I glued my strips to my Basic White cardstock, alternating them.
After I trimmed of the access. I used the pieces I trimmed off to fill in the open spots.
Here is another card I created. This time I added my strips diagonally and left no space in between. The design sketch is to help you with a starting point. I created two cards using the sketch to get me creating. Now be sure and hop along with the rest of my teammates and please leave a comment.
