 Hello everyone!!

WOW, where have I been??

Oh my goodness it has been over a month since I have posted here on my blog.

I can not believe it has been that long! I have been busy finding a new home, which we finally did. I went on a cruise to Mexico and I've been home with my family for the holidays.

Whew that's a lot. Any how we will be moving from California to New Mexico in mid January. Why New Mexico you ask? I have family there and we wanted to be close to family. I have been visiting there since I was a baby and just love it. All my craft supplies have been in storage and I have not been crafting this is why I have not been posting. I finally created a makeshift craft room in my daughters kitchen lol. I actually moved my desk right in the middle. I was tired of not crafting and NEEDED to craft. 

The New January- June Mini catalog is coming out and there are so many goodies inside I just had to start using them. If you need a catalog please let me know and I'll get one out to you. (email lcdesigns1@comcast.net)

I have a sneak peek of a stamp set in the Mini Catalog. Rainbow of Happiness. I made these magnets to give to my customers, so they can hang their wish list on their fridge and have it handy at all times.

Sweet Stampin' Friends Tutorial

Hello!

Wow it has been quite a while since I have posted anything here on my blog.

For those of you who don't know, I'm in the process of moving. We finally found a house in Rio Rancho New Mexico. But we don't move in until January. So that means all of my craft supplies are staying in storage for a little bit longer. I can not wait until I get to unpack it all. I have missed crafting so much!!

I did create my Sweet Stampin' Friends Tutorial projects ahead of time so I could have them for you.

Good thing I did since it'll be a little longer.

This month our tutorial features Winter or Christmas projects.

This is my project in the tutorial.

I used the Gingerbread and Peppermint Suite.

So back to moving, we bought a traditional New Mexico home.

It is adobe and has some unique touches, I can wait to share more pictures with you once we move.

There is a balcony in the front of the house that faces the Sandia mountains.

There is also a balcony in the back that faces empty land, so relaxing. 

Can't wait to sit out on one of them while having my morning coffee.

Have a Peachy Day, fun fold card

Hi everyone,

It's been a while since I've shared a card I have created with you. As you know I'm in the process of moving so most of my stuff is in storage until I find a home.

My card today is using the Sweet As A Peach Bundle along with the You're a Peach DSP.

Click on the picture to view the products I used to make this card.

Your recipient can display your beautiful card, since it'll stand up.

Measurements to make this card:

4 1/4" x 10 1/2" Calypso Coral cardstock, score the long side at 1/2" 1 3/4" 3 3/4" and 5".

Burnish the score lines.

Adhere a 4" x 4" piece of DSP to the back section, fold the score lines and adhere the small tab to the back section. (look at the side to see that you have a even rectangle)

2 1/2" x 5 1/2" Calypso Coral cardstock, score the long side at 1/2" and 1 3/4".

Lay the larger piece flat, line the larger section of the front flap with the top of the larger section, adhere at the small tab. (see picture)

Adhere a 1 3/4" x 4" piece of DSP to the front of the larger piece

Adhere a 2 1/4" x 3 1/2" piece of DSP to the front of the smaller piece.

Cut out a Calypso Coral scalloped circle

Cut out a Basic White circle, stamp the peach in Pale Papaya ink and the leaves in Pear Pizzazz ink.

Stamp the sentiment in Calypso Coral ink.

Adhere the layered circles to the front.

Thread some ribbon through the front and tie a bow.

October 2021 Paper Pumpkin

Well hello everyone!

It has been a while since I have posted.

As some of you may know I'm in the process of finding a new home. We sold our house in California and are looking for our retirement home. Although I will not be fully retired lol. My business will still be my priority. I'd like to thank you all for having patience and understanding while I search for my forever home.

Currently we are in New Mexico staying with family and enjoying many things such as the Balloon fiesta held in Albuquerque and the bunnies that run around the yard each day along with the beautiful sunrises and sunsets each day. Just enjoying life. Here are a few pictures to share with you.

I was able to capture a bunny before he ran off.

There were 500-600 hot air balloons, so amazing!

I love the special shaped balloons.

The chiles (Ristra) is a New Mexico staple.

My husband and I with the Smokey the Bear Balloon.

This picture does not do justice, the sunsets are so beautiful here in Santa Fe.

I sure do miss crafting everyday, but I did bring along my Paper Pumpkin kits to keep me satisfied 😊

Pinwheel Birthday Card

Hello,

Thanks for stopping by today. As you know last month we celebrated our granddaughters 15th birthday with a big celebration.

I had not shown you the card I made her, so here it is now.

It's a pinwheel card, these are very popular right now and so easy to make.

These cards might also be called a tower card.

There are 4 sides to the card. I personalized each side.

Here I added a tag and wrote a note to her on it.

On this side my husband wrote her a note.

This side I added a pocket where we add a picture of her gift (a Macbook)

I added her name and 15 for her 15th birthday.

She loved the card, probably because of the gift inside lol.

She really did admire it before getting to the gift.

Paper Pumpkin July 2021 Alternate Cards

Hello, 

I hope you all had a great weekend. Hopefully you got to watch my video I posted on Friday.

Today I have the alternate cards I made with the July Paper Pumpkin kit.

My first card was a shaker card. 

I made a project sheet so you can recreate it, if you have the kit.

This card was so fun and easy to create. 

All I had to do was add a card base and some sequins.

For this card I used the base for the trailer card and added the trees and a moon (the circle)

For this card I used the Tree card base and cut out the trailer from another card base.

I added the trailer to the front with dimensionals and added the sentiment.

Paper Pumpkin kits are great for all ages and beginner to advanced card makers.
